Sarah was bitten by the acting bug while she was in junior high school. To avoid being tardy to practice for field hockey the drama teacher told her that she should not practice and instead of joining the cast of Richard III. This was the moment that Sarah's passion for acting began. Sarah discovered her love for acting and decided to pursue a double major of English and theatre at Hamilton College. The college studied in Europe in Oxford as well as London during her junior period and was awarded an honorary magnacum laude. Following Hamilton her graduation, she attended Yale Drama School. Parents who were both skilled artists and teachers of English encouraged her to pursue a career in the arts. Both her talent and her studies resulted in a successful career.
