Aisling Bea

Aisling bea, who was born in Kildare Ireland on 16 March 1984 is Ireland's richest and most famous comedian. She has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is an Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her stand-up career in the year 2011, following appearances as a guest on a variety of Irish television shows and British series from the year 2009. From 2012 on she was on sketch comedy shows or sitcoms. After she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) and began to be featured frequently in panel programs. From 2016 to 2017 she served as a captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as a frequent participant for the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. The only ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. She uses the surnamed Bea in honor of her deceased father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet, who committed suicide when Bea turned three, was a sufferer of self-harm. She was told about his passing at thirteen years of age. Bea adopted the stage name Bea in honor of her father. She published an article in The Guardian in 2017 about her family's experience of suicide. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) a secondary school teacher jockey trainer and professional jockey for a time. Their family was racing and horse-related. As a young girl, Bea employed as an instructor in the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early stage that she was not keen on the sport of racing as a job, and loved performing.
